Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already landed several television roles, including the lead role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Her fame was due to her role as a character in Der Tunnel.
